These are the points you need to consider when you wanted to come to IT. 1) It is your career. Don't say that I do 2-3 yrs IT job, then I quit. That way is not for everybody. when you decided to come to IT career, that decision worth of minimum 1 decade to 3 decades. that means 20-30 years career. 2)Better do research by getting info from your seniors and your well wishers. 3) Choose a solid technology which is going to be good for at least next decade. Dont say we dont know what is going to happen tomorrow, why I wanted to anticipate that much long? 4)Once you have chosen a technology give some time to improve your learning curve. You can improve it by getting training on your own if you have money. otherwise look for somebody who can provide a training. But, dont expect everybody gives the free training. Even it seems upfront for free, it is not. why because they felt that they invested valuable time and resources for the sake of improving your skills. so better choose which one you need? 5) Once training is completed try for either FTE or to become a consultant. There are pros and cons in each way. 6) while choosing a body shop so called companies, choose one who fulfills most of your requirements in written form. 7) If you want to be consultant ask your employr every conversation should be CCed to you from payrate to PO's. Most of the good companies are this much transparent from day 1. 8) and try to stand in gc line as much early as possible. 9) when you chose to become a consultant, from that day on-wards work hard to learn that technology. Either from seniors or friends friends. choose the technology which is not to be cloned with in a month, the short time you learn the chances of being in out of job situation is more. Learn any programming language from novice to professional. I am not a mesthri. I am just kuli like many others here. you go with what ever mesthri you needed. To confirm this, you can ask Yuvaraju or pittakutha or someone. I can tell this way. I am not that much interested to taste others sweat. I am good at what I am doing. This is what I wanted to bring to the table. would like to teach FREE SAS programming. If you want to help/give free knowledge sharing what you know please join hand here. Please share your knowledge to grow your knowledge. Here, so many people wanted to share their knowledge to others. come on guys, if you guide somebody in a proper-way they remember you forever. From now on wards I am going to be a spectator as others doing. That way my keyboard gets less hits. I took this decision, when I asked why everybody are reading every other post and thread? why not trying to reply to the threads with the real facts. Then they said its waste of time.
