I'm currently on H1 (F1 to H1) kani inka H1 stamping kaledu. My current H1 ending this Sep and i'm applying for extension now. If I go for stamping this month end will I get stamped for H1 extension period also (starts from Oct 2015)? Do I need to use H1b extension EAC# in ds160? thanks.

yes u need to use new h1b number ...extension validity tho visa ostundi

depends on your I-797 validity, lets say ne extension approve aithe then you will get visa till your new h1 extension validity

Thanks, kani my h1b extension will not start until the next 6 months (Oct) and nenu vinnadi we can only go for extension if you are current H1 is expiring in 3 months or so.. to get stamping for H1b extension period as well..not sure if I'm right..

 I know we can go before the H1b start date for stamping but not sure if we can go before 5 months to extension start date . just wanted to see if this is a possibility in my case
