PM announce chesadu special status istamu ani, that too ONLY in Rajya Sabha. there is no legitimacy to that announcement.

There's a particular criteria to arrive at special status worthiness, and according to earlier planning commission, AP doesn't meet their criteria. definite ga AP ki maximum help cheyyali. there are other ways to do it. like central giving funds to increase road network, building a couple of container ports, LNG terminals, give more funds to AP from central kitty. provide unsecured loans, with lowest interest, or zero interest to AP. let AP run a budget deficit way beyond the allowable limit for state (around 2% of gdp) for the next 10years and let them delay payments. I'm sure central govt will work something out for AP. giving special status is giving a wrong signal at a time Modi is trying to bring some sort of sanity to governance in India. This is what I noticed in the past few months.
