sattipandu Posted August 13, 2015 Report Posted August 13, 2015 when did I claim that? --DOWN BELOW there are no major caste issues in a state where poverty is high (again I didn't say TG has highest poverty or whatever. i just assume its high enough like all states in India). it probably means the poor have accepted their fate instead of fighting it. and the upper castes in TG are busy congratulating themselves on being relatively caste free, than look deeper into the caste issue. its a bit rich of you to say this on a db where people constantly talk about how reservation people get advantages, and how upper caste is victimized with anecdotes on how their neighbours lost out on that life changing opportunity due to reservation, etc. You don't seem to have any problem with that. That is the upper caste agenda. Whether you are upper caste or not is immaterial. even a well off dalit can make upper caste points on their behalf. So I have to make it my task to correct every TOM here that bemoans that their less significant and less talented brethren was given a preferential opportunity by Govt or state and assuage them that it is for the collective good for the society. while a "well off Dalit" u say doesnt want to give up on the preferential treatment that constitution granted & used it to better himself in the scoiety, even if he is in no longer need of that and is in ur words "well off"

It is not 'your task' to do anything. But since you decided to take the side of upper caste asshole based on what you think is 'talent', you should not call yourself caste neutral.
