k2s Posted September 21, 2015 Report Posted September 21, 2015 Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu is said to be in a piquant situation in appointing the head for the Telangana TDP, since there are more than one aspirant for the post. With Naidu deciding to make TDP a national party and declaring himself the chief of the national unit, he is planning to appoint two different presidents for the party in Telangana and Andhra. While the name of Kala Venkat Rao for the Andhra unit is more or less finalized, Naidu is finding it difficult to get the head for the Telangana unit. Even before Naidu has taken any decision, firebrand TDP leader from Mahbubnagar A Revanth Reddy has been claiming that he will be the TTDP chief, as he is the only leader who can keep the party alive in Telangana. However, Naidu is said to be of the view that the leadership be entrusted to a BC leader like L Ramana or an SC leader like Mothkupalli Narasimhulu. Even Velama leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao is keen on becoming the party president, though on record he says he is not in the race.
