Mahesh Babu sends team to Sidhapur

Actor Mahesh Babu, who announced last month that he would work with Panchayat Raj Minister K.T. Rama Rao in adopting a village in Mahbubnagar district, sent his team to Sidhapur in Kothur mandal on Tuesday to find out the requirements of the habitation. The team spent a couple of hours going round the village and talking to people. It invited the Sarpanch Narsamma, Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituency member Vadde Balaiah and village elders for talks with the actor at Hyderabad on Thursday.

Later in the evening, Mr. Balaiah, accompanied by the local TRS legislator of Shadnagar Y. Anjaiah Yadav, tried to meet the Minister at Secretariat, but did not succeed as he was busy with a meeting. Mr. Balaiah told The Hindu that Mahesh Babu had selected the village for adoption as it was the far end of Mahbubnagar district in one direction. He also said demands for construction of underground drainage, cement concrete roads, a veterinary clinic, black top roads for two thandas, Anganwadi building and DWCRA Bhavan would be posed to the star when they would meet Mahesh Babu on Thursday.
