I would suggest whoever attending Hyderabad consulate to book slot on very early hours to avoid huge waiting times. I have been to interview two times, since my first was cancelled after few servers went down and they couldn't handle the crowd with limited servers.

 

Even if you reach the queue 15 minutes before your actual appointment, we have to wait for 1 hour to 1 and half hour outside the consulate.  So it is better if we enter the first slots of the day (8:00 Am or 8:30 Am). 

 

Consulate staff  who are assisting the queues are very friendly and professional but the crowd of F1 visa candidates appearing for the interview are overflowing. I noticed that there are literally around 800 F1 candidates appearing for the interview each day in Hyderabad.
