JEE Main 2016 Application form

JEE Main 2016 to be appeared by almost all undergraduate engineering aspirants in India for admission into engineering courses offered by Government, Semi-Government, Private and centrally funded institutions and Universities across India include NIT’s and IIT’s. Apart from above institutions JEE Main score to be used many states those adopted JEE Main as their selection criteria for undergraduate engineering admission for their respective states.

Candidates can apply to appear for JEE Main 2016 tentatively from the first week of December 2015. One month time will be given to the candidates for filling and submitting the application form online. The candidate should first register in the official site by creating a password. The candidates should upload their scanned images, left thumb impression and signature in JPEG formats. The candidates can make the payment through debit or credit card by means of e-challan.

Instructions for applying online

Before starting to fill up the application form the candidates should read the instruction carefully. The candidates should also fulfil all the eligibility criteria. Before filling up the application form the candidate should have a scanned image of them, scanned signature and thumb impression. Left hand thumb impression for boys and right hand thumb impression for girls is required for filling up the application form.

Candidates should upload clear photograph without cap or goggles. Polaroid photos and unclear photographs are not accepted. The candidates should have copy of the photographs with them to be used at the time of the entrance examination and admission process.

The candidates should provide all the required details while filling up the application form online. After the application form is duly filled a confirmation page will appear. The candidates can take a print out of the confirmation page and keep it for their future reference. The candidates need not send the print out to JEE Main Secretariat.

The candidates can make a choice of their examination centre city or town while applying online.

The candidates who opt for computer based examination for Paper 1 can also a select a date for their exam. The dates are allotted to the candidates on First come first serve basis. If the candidate fails to select a date or slot while applying online then the candidate will be randomly assigned a slot or date as per the availability.

Application Fee

The application fee can be made either through online or offline mode by the candidate. The application fee differs for different papers, different categories and for different locations. The application fee details for the last year JEE Main 2015 are listed below in the tabular column. The application fee details for the JEE Main 2016 will be released soon by CBSE.
