If You have 16000 in your account OR if you are credit worthy ... you can SHORT sell 100 units of Tesla now without previously owning them., then you can give back those shares when Tesla go down . for suppose if it go to 120, you will have 4000 profit. when it is 120 you can cover the SHORT sale by buying and returning the 100 previously sold units. SHORTs will profit when share price go down LONGs will profit when share price goes up
