I'm in the same boat as you.  My company filed my extension on July 14, 2015, and is still in "Case was received" stage. 

 

This was from my HR manager "There were systems issues over the summer with USCIS and they are likely catching up still.

 

These things take time and all the approvals are very late in coming.  But again, nothing to worry about."

 

USCIS started working on applications received in June and July.  I will just say to have patience and wait bro.
