Water levels in Jurala project in Mahbubnagar district have fallen to dead storage, leaving the project high and dry. There is only 4 tmc water in the project. As such crops in 50,000 acres are drying up due to lack of water. The government had tried to get some water from Karnataka, but failed. This is first time in the history of the project that water levels have fallen to such a low. If the situation continues, the much-hyped Krishna Pushkaralu in August would be hampered.
