rrc_2015 Posted February 16, 2016 Report Posted February 16, 2016 KOLKATA: Slogans in favour of Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru were raised in a rally by Jadavpur University students in Kolkata on Tuesday. These protesters organized the rally to express solidarity with students in Jawaharlal Nehru University who are protesting against the arrest of their leader Kanhaiya Kumar for alleged sedition. During the torch rally brought from Jadavpur University campus to Gol Park in South Kolkata by students of all faculties of the university, slogans like "Afzal bole azadi, Geelani bole azadi" and "Chhinke lenge azadi" were raised. Other slogans like "Freedom from RSS, freedom from Modi government", "Jab Kashmir ne maangi azadi, Manipur bhi boli azadi" were also raised. When contacted, Left-backed Students Federation of India (SFI) local committee secretary Samanya Raha, who took part in the rally, said it was a "mass gathering" to protest against the arrest of Kanhaiya. Kanhaiya was arrested on Friday and booked under sedition charges for a protest event in JNU campus on Fenruary 9 against the hanging of Afzal Guru.

rrc_2015 Posted February 16, 2016 Author Report Posted February 16, 2016 Another one - ---- Students of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) today took out a protest march against alleged police excesses at the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) campus. The students also raised various anti-national slogans during this protest. The protesters kept on raising slogans and finally they sent a memorandum to President demanding an inquiry into "Role of RSS linked organizations". General Secretary of AMU Employees Union Shamim Akhtar said, "We are strongly against the anti national slogans which were raised during the JNU protest. But the question is, whether the police investigated to find the real identity of person who raised these slogans? There is gathering evidence that these slogans were orchestrated merely to defame the leaders of the JNU Students Union. We need immediate and strong action against anyone who was involved in this matter. The police should not see any political affiliation regarding this matter." Protests are also demanding serious charges against JNU Students. Most of them blame Delhi Police for staying silent in this regard.

These students are protesting based on the inputs from Anti-national and Anti-BJP parties. So now when BJP arrests students .. AAP party, Congs and NDTV questions Freedom of Speech ... and then comes INTOLENRANCE

Poni Le is only thing we always say ,.... Azal guru ni kuda open ga support chesthunaruu ,,, Bitter part is ... no party in this country openly condemns it.. Coz we are all not VoteBank ..just poni le people. Sad but true
