Contrary to media reports, the e-ticketing portal Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) website has not been hacked, the PRO has said. The IRCTC website is used by lakhs of customers to book railway tickets and personal data including phone number, email ids, Aadhaar Card, driving license number, etc. is required to complete the process. It is feared that this data of over one crore customers has been stolen from the IRCTC server. IRCTC PRO Sandip Dutta told CNN-News18, "Three days ago, IB cyber cell, Mumbai informed us that some data in the name of IRCTC is in circulation. We set up a committee which is probing this." Quote
