BJP’s publicity blitzkrieg in Andhra against TDP from May 27

 

 Against the backdrop of TDP's high-decibel campaign that the Centre is not lending a helping hand to the reorganised state, the state BJP will launch a publicity blitzkrieg on central assistance and to refute the ally's charges.

 

"Our party's central leadership has asked us to organise public meetings across the state. We are holding our party's state executive committee meeting at Vijayawada on May 25 to chalk out an action plan to hold these meetings so as to publicise Centre-sponsored schemes which are being implemented in the state. Union ministers will address these meetings," BJP state unit vice-president P Kapileswaraiah told Express.

 

According to him, Union HRD minister Smriti Irani will take part in a public meeting proposed to be held at Vijayawada on May 27.

 

Similar meetings will be organised in  Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, Rajamahendravaram, Nellore, Kurnool, Anantapuram and Tirupati, which will be addressed by Union ministers Arun Jaitley, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Dharmendra Pradhan, Manohar Parrikar, Piyush Goyal, Prakash Javadekar and Uma Bharti respectively.

 

"We decided to publicise the Centre's help to AP on all fronts," Kapileswaraiah said.

 

Though the meetings are aimed at publicising the Centre-sponsored schemes being implemented in AP, the focus will be on refuting the claims of TDP leaders that the Centre has not fulfilled the promises made to the state during bifurcation.

by the Modi government.
