phone number ante , I bought a couple of 8x8 phone lines for my work purpose and i hooked it to  polycom landlines that i bought in the US , they work pretty good .... 8X8 even gives u a mobile app , whenever u get a call on ur number even ur mobile app rings ... the app works pretty good even on 4G , I use it quite often on 4g and never faced an issue till date...

lekapothe simple ga aipovali ante just get a majicjack/skype number , u can make and receive calls on ur mobile app ... i've also seen people use vonage phones here for work purpose when they come here for extended periods of time

yes I used it in my last vacation. worked very well. Airtel got very good network.

yeah tethering in india ... not sure abt 8x8 short term , but vaalla customer care ki oka sari call chesi ask them ..
