A noted media and entertainment firm, which has been organizing the 'Miss Andhra' beauty contest since 2011, has this year given birth to the 'Miss Amaravathi' Contest in the truncated state.  

After inviting contestants from in and around Guntur and Vijayawarda, the organizers have selected 21 girls, who will be competing for the crown in the Finals to be held on October 1st. The winner will be selected through several rounds of tests such as personality, presence of mind, global awareness etc. The Pre-finals Ramp Walks are currently underway in Vijayawada.

The organizers said that the beauty contest will be a nice platform for the aspiring actresses. Since this is the first contest being held in the new capital of Andhra Pradesh, it has attracted the attention of media and youth.
