H1b Extension and dropbox info question related to passport expiration date

Hi all,

I got my h1b extension approved till may 2019 and my passport expiration date is july 2018 and i have my prev h1b stamped in India, in btwn im planning a trip to india and now i shd use drop box for h1b visa renewal but my passport expiration is earlier than my H1b expiration. So in this case visa eppati varaku vasthadi till passport validity date a ? is it ok to travel in this case?  any one who knows this info pls share, thanks in advance:)

passport renew cheyyinchuko bro as soon as possible and then travel to india... u can carry old passport for reentry to US which has H1b stamp
