on the contrary rural areas are less affected coz most people have done a workaround. i spoke to my grandmom, most transactions happen on credit(not card). sahukaars who used to hoard all the black money and never paid taxes are biscuited. urban poor are the only ones affected coz small scale industries are impacted but then they will come back in few months

yes economic pattern is changing for good. it wont be easy and wont happen overnight but its a gr8 step in the right direction. we need to applaud the PM for having guts to take this decision

urban ppl will not purchase clothes, shoes,toys for next 2-3 months coz of less cash. so small scale industries who manufacture these goods will be impacted temporary. there might be few job losses for daily wagers. if shops and all traders quickly become digital they can minimize this impact

it is impossible to perfectly plan this kind scale and operation becoz the scale (86%) is unprecedented. nobody in the world ever tried it before so no reference point to learn and avoid potholes. they could have taken 1 more yr to print all notes but then it could have leaked anytime. then also cash distribution will be a problem as always in a country like india. no guarantee that long line wont be. this is inevitable.
