Hours: Network team provides 24/7 support of the network infrastructure. Flexibility to work weekends and off-hour shifts required for shift rotations. 

Shift: Sun – Wed 7 AM – 5 PM (shift times are open to change every six months) 

This is a Network Engineer position within the Network Engineering a division of a global telecom comapany. This division works on the latest innovations in interactive entertainment and television. The Network Engineering team manages network design, deployment, and operational support of the compute environment, research & development, DMZ's, and WAN connectivity. 

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: 
• Deploying a robust, stable, and manageable LAN/WAN/DMZ for the network 
• Manage projects from inception to completion 
• Work with customers on network request and issues 
• Configure and support switches, routers, load balancers, and firewalls 
• Work with the team to troubleshoot network issues 
• Provide 1st/2nd level support for network escalations 
• Monitor and respond to event dashboards 

Qualifications / Experience sought 

Minimum Qualifications 
• Bachelor of Science or AA degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent technical degree with 3 years relevant experience, Or a Masters of Science in Computer Engineering with 2+ years relevant experience. 

Desired Skills 
• Strong understanding of Multicast routing and IP video delivery 
• Understanding of router, switch and firewall functions 
• Ability to conduct security risk assessment and vulnerability assessments 
• Excellent verbal and written communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills 
• Ability to understand basic TCP/IP protocol 
• A strong team player with initiative, self-motivation and flexibility in dealing with ambiguous situations 
• Able to operate in multitasking operations environments with interrupts and priority changes 
• Recommended certifications MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, or CCIE
