kakatiya Posted December 24, 2016 Author Report Posted December 24, 2016 and it mentioned that geets success inspired many girls to take the game..which is true but there are also players like sakshi malik who are getting trained and went on to win olympic medals. it is sad they showed geets coach as a villian. While that might be true, remember it's a movie. Audience emotions ni manipulate cheyakapothey akkada box office lo collections raavu. So I don't blame Aamir for making it a little more dramatic. That apart, Geeta still deserves a lot of credit. Olympics are of course #1 but to even get to the level she achieved with our sports infrastructure(knowing how awesome our sporting facilities and the way our athletes are treated) is still a big deal. Her success might have inspired people like Sakshi to perform so well at the Olympics. It has a butterfly effect. Quote

Well what if Geeta's coach was indeed the villain in real life as well, and tried to change her technique etc. I don't see her real life coach making a fuss about his portrayal, maybe he was everything Aamir showed to be in the movie. Movies esp. those based on sports aren't as exciting as they are normally if they stuck to reality a 100% of the time because quite honestly most of the success in reality is a product of rigorous training and discipline. Adi antha movie lo choopisthey evvadu undadu hall lo choodataniki. Audience esp. the Indian ones want a movie that can take their emotions on a ride, and it's a fact that we all love a feel good ending. So aa matram cinematic liberty teesukotamu tappu emi kaadu. Showing her master coach as comolete idiot is utter nonsense, that dont fall under dramatisation. it comes under mis representation and fictional. Quote
