tennisluvr
DACA might be canceled and if you are on DA you might be deported, this was confirmed by Lt Col Stock in one of her Facebook posts. Notice that I only said "might" not "will". It's left to the discretion of the new govt and their policies. DACA Future soldiers if DACA is canceled will be in the deportation proceedings as well. Also the probability of getting a DA if you apply is apparently only 50%. So if one of you future soldiers falls out of status and applies for DA and doesn't get it, you might be deported. So whatever you do don't lose your status. My recruiter confirmed today that the Army isn't sure as to what to do with all the Reserve Future soldiers at the moment. The actives won't ship before October of this year even in the best case. Also they just started conducting the CI interview which is the new 3rd background check for MAVNIs for people that are in holdover at AIT which means these are soldiers that are already naturalized or awaiting naturalization but finished their BCT and AIT. So by the time it comes to folks that are still waiting to ship to BCT it might take 1-2 years for the Army to pick up your file. Third, it's been confirmed by Lt Col Stock that she was FIRMLY AGAINST mixing up DACAs with the MAVNI enlistees, which was a decision made by your beloved Obama and his government. You can thank the Obama Administration for your current plight. It is due to DACAs being included with the regular pool of MAVNI enlistees that have F1 and H1B visas that caused this entire mess. You can THANK OBAMA for this situation.

Meanwhile also hope they won't cancel our contracts. Maintain your legal status at all costs and forget about applying for DA.

kakatiya
so she also claims that program is shutdown now Matt Reardon Margaret D. Stock, were you for the decision to include DACAS in the mavni program? Like · Reply · 5 · January 10 at 9:20pm Hide 15 Replies Remove Margaret D. Stock No. I thought DACAs should be in a separate program. Like · Reply · 4 · January 10 at 10:11pm Remove Matt Reardon So fair to say you were also skeptical when that category was added to the program? Like · Reply · 3 · January 10 at 10:15pm Remove Margaret D. Stock Matt Reardon yes. Mainly because I thought it would cause the program to shut down. Which did happen. That's one of the reasons they took out the green to gold option, to make it less appealing. I am sure there's tremendous opposition to this program now a days. Makes sense as to why these delays are happening.
