Kool_SRG Posted February 10, 2017 Author Report Posted February 10, 2017 125.1 Taijul Islam to Kohli, OUT, he's lbw, Kohli walks off. Doesn't bother reviewing because he knows this is pad first. Been trying to late cut fuller deliveries on off stump for a while now. And the risk catches up with him. Tajiul gets in the quicker delivery, on the right length, doesn't lose the pace after pitching, which could have saved the batsman. One of the few mistakes in a nearly flawless innings. But wait, replays indicate the impact with the pad is outside the off stump. Didn't look it on first sight, and that's all umpire Erasmus had V Kohli lbw b Taijul Islam 204 (246b 24x4 0x6) SR: 82.92 Quote
Kool_SRG Posted February 10, 2017 Author Report Posted February 10, 2017 140.3 Mehedi Hasan Miraz to Ashwin, OUT, plays for the turn and pushes at the ball as it drifts away in the air and holds its line. Thick outside edge goes to the left of slip, where Sarkar gets both hands to it and it sticks. Good catch. And Ashwin walks off, wriging his hands at falling to a trick he himself has used many times over R Ashwin c Soumya Sarkar b Mehedi Hasan Miraz 34 (45b 4x4 0x6) SR: 75.55 Quote
Kool_SRG Posted February 10, 2017 Author Report Posted February 10, 2017 163.6 Taijul Islam to Saha, SIX, hundred with a six! Raises his arms in triumph after coming down the track, taking a length ball and smiting it into the sight-screen. That's his second to in as many first-class innings. And Karun Nair, who made 300 in India's last drinks, brings out drinks. Quote

Kool_SRG Posted February 10, 2017 Author Report Posted February 10, 2017 123.1 Taijul Islam to Kohli, FOUR, first batsman in Test history to smash four double-hundreds in four successive series, going past Bradman and Dravid. Comes off one of his lesser controlled shots. Sees a tossed up delivery outside off, doesn't quite get to the pitch, but goes for the lofted shot over extra cover. Gets under it a bit too much but there is no-one there to take advantage of the mis-hit Quote

Kool_SRG Posted February 10, 2017 Author Report Posted February 10, 2017 11.2 Yadav to Soumya Sarkar, OUT, whoa! This is a 142 kph jaffa, and India believe they have a caught behind. Go for a review. Magnificent ball first up from Umesh, pitching fullish on off stump, and swinging in between the bat and pad. Too quick for Sarkar's defences as he comes forward with a lazy drive on the up towards mid-off. UltraEdge says there's a bottom edge and Sarkar's gone. Seems like this review came out of the confidence of Pujara at mid-on, saying there was a nick, and Vijay as well at midwicket. Kohli at cover also seems to have heard something Soumya Sarkar c †Saha b Yadav 15 (31b 3x4 0x6) SR: 48.38 Quote
