srshb445 Posted February 7, 2017 Report Posted February 7, 2017 if you are in h1, I would not at all suggest for any investment in us........buy any agricultural lands or plots in india.......evvaru leru konatam lo help cheyyataniki ante, I would suggest you to transfer that money to your nre acct, and keep it in fdr's......something is better than nothing.....fdr is safe option, you will get 7% interest and this at is not txable....... Ya right. Few things for NRI status ppl: you can not buy agricultural lands on your name in india as an NRI. Converting 401k -> Traditional IRA-> Roth IRA redeem cheskovachu like you would pay only 10% penalty and no tax in USA. Indian government ki tax kattalsina avasaram ledu for 2 yrs i guess.
