Blade LASIK uses a specialized automated blade called the Microkeratome (120 to 140 microns). It is able to raise a thin flap of cornea. Femtosecond laser uses a femtosecond laser beam for making the flap. The Femto flap is more thinner (90-110 microns), smoother and safer than the microkeratome. The decision to use an femtosecond laser flap technique is based on the pre-operative investigations and the surgeon's assessment of the need.FOR MORE Quote
