It's sad that such abuse resulted in him being obsessed about the visa system here. I mean I get it, he probably expected the moon before coming to the US but reality must have been too harsh for him to accept. 

But he took to a level of obsession never seen or heard before, and ended up losing his mental sanity due to that. Sad
