basically ambedkar asked for separate electorates for a couple decades for dalits, like muslims used to have, and they settled on reservations in its place, because they didn't want another separation.

It was minority in power acquiescing to the another oppressed minority to keep the health of a nation. But the minority in power in kashmir were outright stooges of Indian govt. and were widely hated by the majority.

do you understand now atleast? dalit reservations were not given out of goodness of heart. The circumstances of the day were such. later OBCs also had reservation with their growing political clout.

In kashmir this was not possible, because their govt was a stooge of the Indian govt, and won't let policies be enacted that will benefit the majority. (like with OBC reservation in India). So the reaction was to be expected.

again, there are other reasons for kashmir problem, like provocations from pak based militants etc. But Indian govt did nothing to quell it, and in fact did things to worsen the situation.

today assholes like you sit in judgment over kashmiris as if you are any better. you guys literally cheer govt controlling kashmir, cutting off normal life. May be you should be given a taste of that life in India as well.
