I can't think of FTE...I'm so happy contracting..

I agree its personal preference.  In that case the person should not be complaining about bench time.

11 yrs exp in software life is like midlife crisis man...you got to break that ego barrier and behave like an enthusiastic rookie, I bet you will get opportunities if you do that....
