Bathai_Babji Posted July 19, 2017 Report Posted July 19, 2017 Reports coming from the media sources camping near the office of Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Telangana excise and prohibition enforcement department indicate that popular director Puri Jagannath was getting royal treatment from the authorities. Puri appeared before the SIT officials on Wednesday in response to the notice served on him with regard to his alleged links with drug peddlers. The ace director arrived at the SIT office along with his brother Sairam Shankar and son at around 10 a.m. amid tight security arrangements. Sources said Puri was received well by the officials and was made comfortable. Even as media persons were watching, caterers from outside brought sumptuous meals in vans to serve the director during the lunch break. The director was served with coffee and snacks. Some police officials also took selfies with Puri, say sources. Excise commissioner R V Chandravadan has already made it clear that the film personalities who were served notices in connection with drug racket would be treated as VIPs and would be put at ease during the interrogation.
