I was one among them too, but on hindsight I was naive then. most episodes don't break any new ground either techwise, storytelling wise, characterization wise, absolutely nothing. The first episode is definitely the cleverest, and also the most satisfying rewatch. few episodes were good in each season, not all .. but season 4 was dud for sure except 'Hang the Dj' episode. However, they added element of hope in that episode.. Quote

I just like how the story is set up by the end of this season. mr. robot for all its pretense of relying on shock, makes sure that all the twists so far are easily decipherable (starting with mr.robot being a split personality, and elliot being in prison in season 2), and presents them without much drama. The actual drama was in the macro game being played by e corp, and Whiterose at the behest of 1% of the 1%. Now its almost clear that whiterose doesn't care for anything other than feeding her delusional idea of bringing back the dead (however she does it). I think the next season will have whiterose being relegated to being a marginal player, because her delusions don't sit with the overall theme of the show. More than liking what I've seen so far mr. robot, I'm waiting for how they take the story forward next season. Otherwise, its just another revenge drama, except the hero is a paranoid depressive, without any actual personal baggage. Quote

I almost don't want to know what Whiterose's 'big idea' is, because it'll take the show down sci fi territory, which will destroy the show. but its interesting how they played up Whiterose's delusions throughout this season, culminating with her ordering execution of her second in command with the parting words "I will look for you after our work is done. but for the here and now, our time has come to an end". what a beautifully written dialogue, that confirms everything about whiterose - that, she's just batshit crazy. whiterose won't be Elliot's principal adversary, I think. Also mr.robot is the most anti capitalist, anti RW tv show on air now probably. the finale post credits scene where a street hooker talks of marxism is just the coolest small talk ever. and the hooker was absolutely right. capitalism is dead. reinstating debt isn't going to revive it. I also wished they talked about raiding The Hamptons. but first steps are good enough. Quote
