Administrative Processing without 221G-Dec 26, 2017-HYD

I attended visa interview on 26 Dec 2017 at Hyderabad consulate. I am working as a contractor for Social Security Administration. Basic questions like Employer/Client Name, Annual Pay and my Role was asked. 

VO mentioned case needs administrative processing because I studied in USA(Studied in a good university which had accreditation), but no slips were given at time of interview. I checked my case online and it shows Admin Processing till today.

Please let me know if someone is in the same boat. Any idea how many days its may take to process. Can I call the consulate and check for the delay? I have my journey on 14 Jan 2018(I have a week). 

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Mostly Admin processing gone take min of 2 months..in rare cases if they are just checking with univ might take a week or so...And in ur case there were bunch of holidays in between and the university might have been spring break... so better prepare for worst... see the option of postponing the ticket but dont book it yet bcoz they are people stuck there for 2-3 months...  keep faith and trust in god

one of my friend went for stamping in the 1st week of dec....had admin processing, he was from npu, cpt then h1 1st time reject 2nd time approved, he got his pp back in 3 weeks...but all cases may not be the same as different cases are handled by different people...be patient you should be fine

issued ki change iyee mundhu kuda admin processing lo untundhi bro... if no 221g is given no need to worry... you will get a email to pick your passport in couple of days.

Naadi same case. Got PP back in 2 weeks. Oka friend ki 3 weeks pattindi. keep checking immihelp forum for the trend.

On same boat

attended  on jan2nd.

basic questions

employer,client ,sal,project related,highest education.

im  on evc model.

no 221g. VO said they need to verify few things and it might take 1 or 2 weeks  to be completed.

VO kept my passport.

almost all h1bs in my line undergone same process.

f1s ayitey 90%rejection.few people got who were confident.

@jalebibai  Can you tell me the exact number of business days for status to change from Administrative Processing to Approved from day of interview?

Is this your first h1b. I mean have you recently converted to H1 from F1?
