H4 expiring soon I-20 in hand, Is Visa stamping better or COS staying with in US better

My current H4 & EAD expires by Jan19th.We've applied for an H1-H4 extension last October and it is unfortunately denied. Our i94 is still valid until Jan19th. My husband is applying for new petition along with my H4 extension. I've school admission in hand . Do you recommend to go to India for visa stamping or stay here, apply for COS from H4 to F1?
