HIGHLIGHTS Sai Deepti, 14, hanged herself after her school authorities didn't let her write exams. School authorities humiliated the teenager for non-payment of fees. Child Rights Organisation has demanded strict action and blamed school for her death. A 14-year-old girl named Sai Deepti committed suicide by hanging herself with the ceiling fan at her house in Malkajgiri after her school humiliated her for not paying fees on time. Deepti was studying in Class 9 at Jyothi High School, Malkajgiri. Sai Deepti's school management humiliated her for non-payment of fees. Deepti's family was going through a major financial crisis for a long time. As a result, Deepti's father, an auto driver by profession, was not able to pay her school fee on time. The school authorities, however, due to non-payment of dues didn't allow Deepti to write the exams. The action taken by the school authorities led the innocent girl into depression and therefore, she decided to commit suicide. Deepti also left a small handwritten note for her mother saying 'sorry'. Deepti wrote 'sorry' in her suicide letter to her mother. Meanwhile, the Child Rights Organisation has demanded strict action on the school and alleged that the school management is responsible for the death of the 14-year-old girl. Why they involved kids in these financial matters? Where they invlovked kids here ? Her dad is autorikshaw driver..she didn't even mention his namein letter .... She was told to leave school exam as she didn't pay fee on time. Private schools all do the same since ages. I am assuming his dad's role is equally involved by not even paying her school fee..auto rickshaw earn good enough in Hyderabad unless they have liquor addiction. Quote
