Vanguard requires you to be a tax resident not permanent resident... Uscis and IRS have different definitions of residency....uscis odi basha lo resident ante GC occhinodu...IRS odi basha lo sustantial presence test pass aythe resident ee ....google for "IRS Substantial Presence Test" and see if you are a resident. Index fund VS ETF's? which one is better for beginners? No active trading...Passive investment..invest and forget...fluctuations occhinappudu sit tight and don't let your emotions drive you... Index funds pay dividends..not as much as dividend portfolio's though...you have to file tax returns for dividends unless you are buying them in IRA or 401K. Both are same...ETF is when you would like to invest smaller than the fund minimum amount..ETF lo esko if it's not 401k...
