H1B News – USCIS Reaches FY 2019 H-1B Cap

H1B News (Apr 4, 2018) – USCIS reached the congress-mandated 65,000 H-1B visa cap for fiscal year 2019. In addition, USCIS also received a sufficient number of H-1B petitions to meet the 20,000 visa U.S. advanced degree exemption, known as the master’s cap. The agency will reject and return filing fees for all unselected cap-subject petitions that are not prohibited multiple filings. Selection will be conducted by H1B lottery. My H1b petition was sent to USCIS on Thursday. Friday USCIS announced that it reached CAP. Do you think my petition will be considered for lottery ?
Please advice. Your help is much appreciated.
