Kosuri’s wife, Smriti Jharia, 46, is one of the immigrants he illegally sponsored. She pleaded guilty to falsely obtaining naturalization and agreed Friday to move back to India immediately and give up her American citizenship. She said their son, a native U.S. citizen who has never lived in India, will go with her.

the defendant is canceled as void ab initio in that the defend^t is not nov^r, and has never been, a
United States Citizen; and it is further

ORDERED that any court order or administrative order ofapproval, whether or not
predicated upon or derived from this unlawful naturalization certificate, is revoked, set aside, and
declared void; and it is further
ORDERED that the defendant, Smriti Jharia, is forever restrained and enjoined firom
claiming any rights, privileges, or advantages under any document which evidences United
States Citizenship and which was obtained as a result of her unlawful receipt ofa naturalization
certificate.

Idi common man, I know one mestri who had a similar situation. He surrendered his US passport and left to India, in return for not going to jail here in the US.
