DrBeta Posted April 27, 2019 Report Posted April 27, 2019 Everyone has to go to tough times, some get depressed, some get distracted. It is important to remember that self help is the best help and self harm is the worst harm. Quote
xeqtr Posted April 27, 2019 Report Posted April 27, 2019 Taking care of yourself physically and mentally helps. That holds true generally in life but even more so during tough times. That includes: working out regularly, getting good sleep (its good to have consistent sleep schedule daily), cutting out junk (be it sugary food or too many carbs, negative people around you or unnecessary junk from social media/news/TV) & instead feed your body/mind with healthier options like quality food, positive people and reading good books. 2 Quote

But if the positive habits are strongly ingrained already.. and you've been doing them regularly for a long time already.. it's easier to fall back to the good habits after a day or two of bad/cheat days. Also it's easier if you do something you really enjoy and don't see it as boring activity. For ex: irrespective of what I am going through I really have my best days when I wake up early and work out first thing in the morning. So guess it depends on how long you've had these positive habits. Quote
