boeing747 Posted July 3, 2018 Report Posted July 3, 2018 Based a complaint lodged by a section of people, Banjara Hills police arrested Telugu actor and film critic Kathi Mahesh on Monday night in Hyderabad. Several pro-Hindu organisations filed complaints against Mahesh for allegedly making derogatory remarks against Hindu Gods in a debate in a Telugu news channel recently. Police booked case under Sections 295 a (deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or reliÂgious beliefs) and 505 (statements disturbing public tranquillity) of the Indian Penal Code. The film critic was in the eye of storm ever since he made objectionable comments against Hindu Gods in the debate. Quote
