Anytime a new comer to the industry looks promising, he will sign him up for a contract (2 movies - 30 lakhs something like that).  

Did the same with Tamanna after happy days. 

I think he signed VD up after Pelli Chupulu for two movies( Taxiwala and GG). They have to abide by the contract irrespective of their fame. 

Easy cash.
