I don't understand how people become directors so easily at that young age. I couldn't go anywhere and still working as contractor though i wrote certifications, learned new technology stack and keep on upgrading. May be i lack exposure.

1)  You are in a company where you report a VP for example and your team will expand rapidly over time. 

2) Your manager left the company and you are probably the next best fit so you got promoted 

3) You are in very high demand at your company and your Boss is in favor for your promotion

Don’t expect high salary just because you are manager. Many managers here make the same as developers. Only in select high priority fields will they get beyond 150k. If the guy is born special he will make 200k, but don’t get disappointed with yourself because he is making so much.

Most of the time they are vested. They will have a vesting schedule. It has no present value, but does have a future value. A shadow of performance incentives more or less. If you get 100 and if they are fully vested at the end of 5 years for a company like amazon you would have made close to 150000 in those alone. 30k per year on average. That case is for Amazon though. At a place like Netflix you would be making 25000 over 5 years - 5000 per year.

Initially they have to justify it. FTE they can justify it but consulting companies it is hard to justify it.

Adi ardam ayindi. I am happy with my salary. Naa disadvantage kuda ade.

Vere company ki velthe they won't match it. But question enti ante. Manager ela avvali ani. @AndhraneedSCS mentioned few points.
