Fruits are overrated in comparison to vegetables actually, although fruits do have some beneficial minerals and vitamins(micronutrients) you don't have to consume them everyday. Esp be aware of consuming non seasonal fruits, for further information read "The Plant Paradox" and you will understand why eating fruits the way we do these days is harmful(consuming non seasonal fruits year round due to availability). Problem is with cooking the vegetables. When you cook, you lose most of the nutrients of vegetables. As long as you eat raw vegetables, you can discard fruits in my opinion. on the other hand, while you have some Sugar, we don't cook fruits and so you get all the nutrients from fruits. Quote

But some vegetables are actually better off when you cook them, it's not true that all the vegetables lose their nutrients when you cook them. Some of the vegetables have thick cellular walls which contain all the phytonutrients you are consuming them for, they won't break down unless you cook them under heat. Fruits are a different ball game altogether, some of the vegetables that are better eaten cooked over raw are leafy greens like spinach, kale etc. Also boiling eggs gives you a lesser chance of catching infections like salmonella etc which you have a higher risk of catching if you eat them raw. And raw egg contains avdin a protein that interferes with absorption of biotin in the body. but when you say cooked I belive you are referring to steam cook which actually keeps the water soluble vitamins intact oil lo fry cheste inkemundii bokka anduke i soup it up all the stuff that I want to eat Quote

Looks like you need to read what I typed properly again and comprehend it, I am talking about eating non seasonal fruits all the time. Consuming non seasonal fruits all the time surely works, in spiking up your insulin and giving you type 2 diabetes. no fruit is unhealthy doesn't matter if its seasonal or nonseasonal...show me one research paper which shows giving type 2 diabetes...once you get type 2 you need to regulate some fruits...thats proved and its a whole different ball game...but no fruit is a cause for type 2 when taken in moderation Quote
