A strange incident involving Balakrishna Nandamuri and director Gunasekhar happened during the recent TSR-TV9 awards event  has led to several discussions on social media.

When Gunasekhar was requested to come on stage to collect his award, Balakrishna was already on stage to present the award. Generally, hugs, smiles and appreciations are seen on such occasions but no such gesture was witnessed between Balayya and Gunasekhar. They stood with their backs facing each other and there was no positivity even when Balayya offered the shawl to Gunasekhar.

This incident is being deciphered by social media buffs as a result of an alleged ego issue caused by Gautamiputra Satakarni and Rudramadevi. It is known that Gunasekhar openly questioned why his film Rudramadevi, a historical film, was not given tax exemption in AP when Balayya's Gautamiputra Satakarni was exempted from entertainment tax in both the Telugu states. This alleged cold war even reached the court.
