How awesome is Venezuela compared to India..

In my previous company, I had a lot of south american colleagues. Naa team lo oka venezuela vaadu and colombia ammai undedi. That venezuela guy used to say that their economy is in gutters currently and are close to hyper inflation. Most of the people are trying to move to Colombia or to nicaragua, since they have better living conditions there. Per month valla family ki 500$ pampistadanta, but there are no goods available to buy since they have a ration system. Valla mom milk kosam morning 4 30 ki line lo wait chestey she might get her turn around 7 or 8 to get into the ration store and there is no guarantee that there will be something available to pick.

Madyalo riots kaastha ekkuva ayyayi..Then he brought his parents here for few months..But now kastha stable ani vinnanu, not sure how true that is. just spreading my 5 rupees knowledge here. cheers

This system feeds about 5million people. and that's why people in Venezuela may fall short of some goods, but they are not starving. 

The often brandied figure of 300,000% inflation (inflated number by IMF, it may be about one-tenths that,  which is still huge), still hasn't contracted the economy by much. Venezuelan economy contracted by 5% last year..  which was true of many european countries too during the 2008-09 crash. so all's not over yet.

5 million people get regular rations directly from the farmers. Rest goes to the open market.

This is Venezuelan shtyle social program to feed the extremely poor.

yes. but still the economy has shrunk just 5% last yr inspite of 300,000% inflation. and all the US sanctions on venezuela. IMF was predicting close to 20% shrink in the economy.

It can only work if atleast some parts of the economy pulls their weight..

there's a serious problem in Venezuela.. some of it is policy based - currency manipulation, price controls, but most of it is political.

Its one section of the country refusing to work with the govt. The main opposition leader is a racist billionaire like Trump.. and he has support from the US too, which was exposed.

Venezuelan economy hasn't crashed yet. Its because of these networks. nenu explain chesinantha maatraana, i'm not a fool to believe that this network is run by people, and will be less than ideal.
