Bhagat Singh on the other hand was a much more egalitarian person, whose ideas and ideals were way ahead of the time. Not surprisingly, the British media with their pet stooge Gandhi projected him as a violent brash young man who was hell bent on destroying public property(read British property) when that wasn't quite the case. Bhagat singh on top of being a revolutionary leader was a very well read person and an erudite soul. 

To compare him with a political stooge like Gandhi shows that you have zero idea about the independence movement. 

Gandhi was an advocate for racial equality in South Africa and he was fighting for Indians in South Africa . He held a medical camp to support British troops in the war ( Natal Indian Ambulance Corps ) . If we support British and he might though we will be treated well in South Africa and eventually British can  treat indians  well in India. He never called for war and he just took a side in the war .
