Karnataka Minister DK Shivakumar today has confirmed the proposal but added that no government money will be used on the statue. "It is not exactly a statue, it will be like a tower. The land already belongs to the govt and we will be inviting investors to invest in it, no govt money will be used. It will be a tourist destination," said Karnataka Minister DK Shivakumar was quoted as saying by news wire agency ANI The total estimated cost of the project is Rs 1,200 crore and the government has sought help from the private investors Quote
