Basically AP chesina pedda mistake ide....funds diversion. Unspent amount n central schemes and allocated to other schemes have been massively diverted.

Ie fund misue and diversion audit ayitundi ipudu....next year April-May varaku report vastaedi...asalu aina lekkalu apudu telustadi..

this is a problem with all southern states. especially because a lot of central schemes (even under Sonia) were forced on states. like food bill. States have to find a way to get the money, which is only offered to them under a scheme they don't actually need because they have a similar better local scheme.

ofcourse there's no other way to do it at the central level too. parliament can't approve schemes for specific states, especially slightly well off ones. this is a problem with our federation. with any federation that shares a currency.

Why do states come up with similar schemes...when center is providing similar facility.

implementation and streamlining accross the country might take time..but the local states can add to the same Center funded schemes right..rather than coming up with whole new one...

adi cheyaru..enduku ante..Regional Politics ...anduke Center plays football with Southern states.

because states have better understanding of their needs than central govt does. and in many cases, what center provides is not enough or the plans by center are poorly thought out.

regional politics ani virakthi tho chepthunnav. but you forget your state is better than others because of that politics. whatever you may think of kcr/ysr/cbn, their politics is better than centers dictat.

its not state that comes up with the scheme after center does. Its the other way around. center catches up to state schemes very late. every central govt. not just this bjp.

I really thought Modi's BJP would be more understanding of how states are treated, but the structure of our federation itself is flawed perhaps (I don't know the specifics), because lots of programs are forced on states, and money unspent sent back. Its a shame.

Is there any option left ? Successful populist schemes are secret of success for the governments.

UPA offered farm loan waiver at federal level, Now every state government which is going for elections is offering it.

unhealthy competetion and now there is dearth of schemes. oka scheme chusi ink scheme copy kottali...no chance..!!

announce chestaru...tarvata paisal saripovu...unspent and borrowing limits datutaru..tarvata central grant ki esaru pedtaru....workout kakapothey government ni threten chestaru...walkout of coalition..

deferal-state structure lo vunna idoka daridram....

states ki authority ichesi make them liable for their deeds ante atla ichisavaru....

haha.. I said so many times in this db, the progress you want is not good for others.

the 'nation' is just a temporary/abstract construct. the less its taken seriously, the better people will be.

I think 1991 reforms, and a bit of 1985 reforms set India down a really dark path.

you want more of that kind, because you won't be among the ones who'll be affected by it.

Hope you are aware of what you want. I just want people to be aware of what they want, and then want it.

wealth gap has become insurmountable.

uppercaste consolidation of the economy

destruction of public sector in the name of merit

-----------------

not saying pre 91 was awesome. but opening an economy when literacy rate was about 35% (???) was a very bad idea. Nehru was sleeping at the wheel for so long, trusting India's 'merit' people to turn India around by investing in industry and higher education than on basic education, and nutrition etc.

1980s middle class (eg. you) were able to go up one class.. within a generation.

today's middle class (family income - ₹20k) won't have that chance. may be a few will squeak through, but not like how it happened in your generation.

its the most devastating effect of 1991 reforms.

you see that effect in all those dance shows where dance groups from poorer regions do daredevil stunts to keep the upper middle class people happy. very few, very very few will ever reach that class.

what?

are you making my point? India was always an uppercaste controlled country. They bear the blame for most of India's problems.
