There is a greater chance of girls being born to short and attractive parents. The longer the girl waits to get married, the more the chance is of a girl being born. The reason why by evolution women are shorter is also because of this.

Most of the time someone is born because the bodies of the parents decide what is the best offspring that can be produced. We think it is chance, but it is actually much deeper than that. A boy can be ugly and survive as long as he is decently tall/strong. A girl on the other hand has to look good. Her height or intelligence is actually not an advantage to her. It is mostly the looks. So when we are with someone our bodies produce hormones that will allow us to have the best offspring possible. So attractive means those genes can be best passed to a girl. Unattractive genes can be passed to a guy and it doesn’t acutually make a difference to him.
