Bcoz we can not hit them back... they are super and kind of exponential in strength when compared to India. So its very important for a country to be strong. To be strong we need strong weapons for military. Before modi cops dont even have right bullet proof jackets. All other countries like newzland , germany.... cops/ soliders have very high tech weapons.. which can attack enemy. I t is also not an ideal rifle for low intensity counter insurgency operations particularly in urban areas , INSAAS fires a high velocity but small /lighter bullet which does not have a stopping power of the older rifles firing 7.62/30 BULLETS or stability cum accuracy at ranges beyond 300m . India manufactures all types of weapons. But most of them were used for domestic purposes and not exported. A wide variety of weapons are manufactures in India.
