In need of money: looking for personal loan

Hello,

i am in bit of financial emergency and wanted to take a personal loan. I have a full time job and GC, but my credit score is only 640 , so not sure if I will be eligible for reasonable interest rate. I was looking in lending tree/lending club sites and interest rates are showing bit exorbitant . Needed some advise on better way to get some money around 10k for immediate need.

If you have citi card , you can get balance transfer for 10K and they deposit into your account, with a 3 or 5% processing fee and merely no interest for (i think) 15 or 18 months..dont remember on the timeframe..
