రాయచూరు నవోదయ ఇంజినీరింగ్ విద్యార్థిని మధుపత్తార్‌పై కొందరు అత్యాచారానికి పాల్పడి, దారుణంగా హత్య చేశారని పోలీసులు పేర్కొన్న విషయం తెలిసిందే. ఆమెతో బలవంతంగా సూసైడ్ నోట్ కూడా రాయించారని వెల్లడించారు. ఈ దారుణ ఘటనపై కథానాయిక రష్మిక, సింగర్ చిన్మయి స్పందించారు. 

‘మానవత్వం ఎక్కడ? రాయచూర్‌కు చెందిన ఇంజినీరింగ్‌ విద్యార్థిని మధు అత్యాచారానికి గురైంది, ఆమెను దారణంగా హత్య చేశారు. నిజంగా ఈ సంఘటన నా హృదయాన్ని బద్దలు చేసింది. ఇలాంటివి ఇంకెన్ని జరుగుతాయి? మధుకు న్యాయం జరగాలని కోరుకుంటున్నా. దీనికి ఓ ముగింపు ఉండాలి’ అని రష్మిక ట్విట్టర్ వేదికగా ఆవేదన వ్యక్తం చేసింది.

తమ కుమార్తె కనిపించడం లేదంటూ మధుపత్తార్ తల్లిదండ్రులు ఫిర్యాదు చేసిన వెంటనే పోలీసులు స్పందించి, పరిస్థితిని సీరియస్‌గా తీసుకుని మధు కోసం గాలించి ఉండాల్సిందని చిన్మయి అభిప్రాయపడింది.
