You underestimate the power of continuity. The average age of getting a PhD in the US is 33 years. I got a PhD when I was 26.

26 ok... It only depends upon when you start.... I know a Ton of people who got their PhD at that age ... ardam kaledu point... if you are thinking I am underestimating you then you are wrong ... think positive ...

it depends on which school, etc. Top schools make you really work hard, since your thesis committee consists of top level professors, who are not going to be happy unless you produce top results. You can go to somewhere in Midwest or south and you can get a Ph.D easy. During recession times, mana batch goes to U of Nebraska, Lincoln or U of Louisville, or Dayton University, to get Ph.D

cos you skipped masters and did Phd directly. I don't know if it's possible with other fields.
